APTOS BEACON CENTER
Empowering Middle School Students
The CYC Aptos Beacon Center offers comprehensive services that promote social-emotional learning, healthy youth development, and family partnerships. The Beacon after-school and summer programs focus on community building, academic assistance, arts and recreation, enrichment classes, leadership development, college and career exploration, and project-based learning.

A bridge in the lower right quadrant symbolizes the San Francisco communities the Beacon serves. The inclusion of a tiger silhouette and paw print is a nod to the school mascot.
The CYC Aptos Beacon Center engages community members by bringing a recognizable brand to the events, programs, and offerings provided to Aptos Middle School. Consistent media brings brand recognition to wellness services, academic support, and lunchtime/after-school programs.

COLLEGE & CAREER AWARENESS PROGRAM
A CYC APTOS BEACON CENTER ENRICHMENT
"C.A.P." teaches about the A-G requirements for high school graduation, the college application process, college life, and vocational careers. Youth also receive personal and group support to address any concerns and questions about college and career readiness.
PROGRAM GRAPHIC
The inspiration for the College & Career Awareness Program (C.A.P.) icon was a graduate cap, which contains a student growing to their potential.

MOTIVATING & INSPIRING
The College & Career Awareness Program challenges youth to think about their future, their place in the world, and how to shape it the way they want to. "CAP" offers youth guidance to reach their ambitions by helping them create a roadmap to their future career or college goals. "CAP" is a spirit of these values and continues to motivate and inspire young people in San Francisco.
